The UK Standard Visitor visa covers most short-term, non-work purposes — tourism, visiting family or friends, attending a business meeting, or a short course of study under 6 months. It's the correct visa if you're not enrolling in a full degree program.
Who Needs This Visa
Nationals of countries not on the UK's non-visa national list need to apply in advance. Check the current list directly, since it's updated periodically.
