Use the past simple for finished actions at a specific past time. Regular verbs add -ed; many common verbs are irregular (go β went, have β had). Use "did/didn't" for questions and negatives.
Use "be going to" + base verb for plans and intentions decided before the moment of speaking, or for predictions based on present evidence.
Use "will" + base verb for spontaneous decisions, promises, predictions without present evidence, and offers. "Will" doesn't change form with the subject.
Use the present perfect (have/has + past participle) for past actions with a present result, or experiences without a specific time. Use "ever/never" for experience and "just/already/yet" for recent completion.
One-syllable adjectives usually add -er/-est (tall β taller β tallest); most two-or-more-syllable adjectives use "more/most" instead. Some are irregular: good β better β best, bad β worse β worst.
