The present perfect (have/has + past participle) connects the past to the present: unfinished time periods (this week), life experience, and results that still matter now.
The present perfect continuous (have/has been + verb-ing) emphasizes the duration of an activity that started in the past and continues now, or has recently stopped with visible results.
The past continuous (was/were + verb-ing) describes an action in progress at a specific past moment, often interrupted by another action in the past simple.
The past perfect (had + past participle) shows that one past action happened before another past action β it's the "past of the past."
The future continuous (will be + verb-ing) describes an action that will be in progress at a specific point in the future.
The first conditional (If + present simple, will + base verb) talks about a real, likely future possibility and its result.
