Propositions relatives complexes

Les propositions relatives peuvent se rattacher à une préposition (the person to whom I spoke), une quantité (many of whom, most of which), ou une proposition entière (which surprised everyone).

Examples

• The colleague to whom I sent the email hasn't replied.
• There were fifty guests, many of whom I didn't know.
• She passed the exam, which surprised everyone.
• This is the theory on which his argument is based.
• We interviewed ten candidates, none of whom had experience.
