ضمائر: فاعل، مفعول، ملکیتی اور ذاتی

فاعلی ضمائر (I, you, he, she, it, we, they) عمل انجام دیتے ہیں۔ مفعولی ضمائر (me, you, him, her, it, us, them) عمل حاصل کرتے ہیں۔ ملکیتی صفات (my, her, their...) اسم سے پہلے آتی ہیں؛ ملکیتی ضمائر (mine, hers, theirs...) اکیلے کھڑے ہوتے ہیں۔ ذاتی ضمائر (myself, herself...) ظاہر کرتے ہیں کہ عمل فاعل کی طرف واپس آتا ہے۔ اشاراتی ضمائر (this, that, these, those) کسی مخصوص چیز کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہیں۔

• I have a car. My car is red. This car is mine.
• She gave him the book. He thanked her.
• They have a dog. Their dog is friendly. That dog is theirs.
• I made this cake myself.
• These are my keys, and those are yours.
