转述句（Reported Speech）

转述句在不直接引用某人原话的情况下转述其所说的内容。动词时态通常会后移一步（现在时→过去时），代词/时间词也会随新的说话者和时间而变化。

Examples

• "I am tired," she said. → She said (that) she was tired.
• "I will call you," he said. → He said he would call me.
• "I have finished," they said. → They said they had finished.
• She asked if I liked coffee.
• He told me he was leaving the next day.
